What to Expect on the Day

From meeting up to heading home — including where the showers are.

Two things worth knowing before you book

These are the two points guests are most often surprised by. Please read them first.

1. The meeting point and the port are different places

After meeting at the cafe, you drive your own car to the port. But our staff car leads the way, so there is no route to look up.

2. Showers and changing rooms are at the cafe, not the port

The tour ends at the port. If you would like a shower, drive back to the cafe afterwards. Please bring your own towel — and if you do not have one, we can lend you one, so just let our staff know.

Keep those two in mind and the day runs smoothly. Here is the full timeline.

Your day, step by step

  1. 1

    15 min before departure

    Meet at Cafe raise244.

243-1 Katsuren Hama, Uruma City, Okinawa. Cross Hamahiga Bridge, turn left, and it is 300m ahead on your right — a two-storey wooden building. Free parking for about 15 cars.

  2. 2

    On arrival

    Check-in, waiver, and gear fitting

We confirm your booking, have you sign the waiver, and fit your life jacket and fins. A changing room is available here.

  3. 3

    Departure

Drive your own car to the port (our staff leads the way)

You board the boat at the port, not at the cafe. You drive your own car, but our staff car drives ahead and leads you the whole way. No need to look up the route or set your navigation.

  4. 4

    At the port

    Park and board

Park at the port and board directly. There is a toilet on the boat.

  5. 5

    The tour

Snorkeling, deserted island landing, and more

Our captain reads the wind and waves each day and takes you to the best water available. Photos and videos are included at no extra cost.

  6. 6

    Finish

Return to port, return gear, and the tour ends here

We come back to the same port and you return the gear. Your car is already there, so you can head off straight away.

  7. 7

    If you'd like a shower

    Drive back to the cafe

The shower and changing room are at Cafe raise244., the meeting point. There is no shower at the port. Please bring your own towel where possible — but if you do not have one, we can lend you a towel. Just let our staff know before you leave.

Showers and changing

Because the tour ends at the port, heading straight home means getting into your car in a wet swimsuit. A large bath towel, or a towel or mat for your car seat, makes a real difference.

If you would rather freshen up first, drive back to the cafe after we finish and use the shower and changing room. Please bring your own towel — and if you do not have one, we can lend you one, so just ask. We especially recommend this if you have plans later that day.

Frequently asked questions about the day

Is the meeting point the same as the port?

No, they are two different places. You meet at Cafe raise244. (243-1 Katsuren Hama, Uruma City), then drive your own car to the port. Our staff car leads the way, so you will not get lost.

Can I take a shower after the tour?

Yes, but the shower and changing room are at Cafe raise244., the meeting point — not at the port. Since the tour ends at the port, please drive back to the cafe if you would like to shower. We recommend bringing your own towel, but we can lend you one if you do not have it — just let our staff know when we finish.

Are there changing rooms or showers at the port?

The port only has a public toilet. There is no shower or changing room. If you want to change properly, driving back to the cafe is the reliable option.

Will I have to get into my car in a wet swimsuit?

If you head straight home from the port, yes — so a large bath towel or a towel/mat to put on your car seat is very helpful. Alternatively, drive back to the cafe and you can shower and change before setting off.

What should I wear?

Please arrive already wearing your swimsuit, with a T-shirt or rash guard over it. That is the smoothest option. A changing room is available at the cafe if you prefer to change on site.

What should I bring?

A towel, a change of clothes, drinking water, and sunscreen. All equipment — life jackets, snorkel sets, and fins — is provided free of charge. There are no lockers, so please keep valuables in your car.
