Kings Sea Road
A private boat anchored at an uninhabited island on Okinawa's east coast — no crowds

Blue Cave too crowded? There's a quieter Okinawa.

A 100% private boat tour on the east coast — with an uninhabited island all to yourselves.

The Blue Cave is famous for a reason — and that's exactly why it gets busy.

The Blue Cave at Cape Maeda is on every Okinawa guide, and the glowing blue light really is beautiful. But its fame comes at a price: in season, you share the water with many other tour groups, time slots are tight, and entries can be cancelled when the swell picks up on the west coast.

If what you actually came to Okinawa for is that turquoise water — without the crowds — the east coast keeps a secret.

The east-coast alternative: your own boat, your own island

KingsSeaRoad runs private boat snorkeling tours from Hamahiga Island in Uruma — across the scenic Kaichu-doro sea road, far from the west-coast tour buses. Every tour is one group only. No shared boats, no waiting for strangers, no schedule that isn't yours.

And every plan includes a landing on an uninhabited island. On the 4-hour and 6-hour plans, the boat cruises further out toward the Tsuken Island area — real island hopping, with snorkel spots our local captain knows by heart.

From guests who have done both

★★★★★

"I've snorkeled at Kerama, Minna, Sesoko, Blue Cave, and more — but this was the most fulfilling tour ever. Being private, they listened to our wishes and adapted to the conditions."

★★★★★

"4 of our 6 were seniors — some couldn't swim, others were nervous about snorkeling. But the guide was so patient that everyone said it was the best memory of the trip."

Frequently asked questions

Q. Is the east coast snorkeling as good as the Blue Cave?

It's a different experience. There is no cave — instead you get clear turquoise water, coral, tropical fish, and an uninhabited island landing with no other tour groups around. Guests who have done both often tell us the private tour was the highlight of their trip.

Q. Can we do both the Blue Cave and this tour?

Of course. Many guests visit the Blue Cave on one day and join our private east-coast tour on another. They complement each other well.

Q. We have small children / non-swimmers. Is it safe?

Yes. Children from age 0 can join, the boat has an onboard restroom, life jackets are provided, and because the tour is fully private, the guide adapts everything to your group's comfort level.

Q. Where do you depart from?

From Hamahiga Island in Uruma City, reached by car over the scenic Kaichu-doro sea road — about 40 minutes from Okinawa City. Free parking is available at the meeting point.
