Participation
Can beginners join?
Absolutely. Since it's completely private, we go at your pace. We'll explain everything from how to use the gear to how to move in the water. Perfect for nervous swimmers and families with children.
What age can participate?
Boarding is OK from age 0. Snorkeling from about age 4. Intro diving: ages 10–54. Fun diving: C-card holders only.
Is it OK with a baby (1–2 years old)?
We've had many families with babies as young as 7 months. The boat has a restroom for comfort on longer trips. Please tell us your child's age in advance.
What if I can't swim?
Life jackets are provided, so even non-swimmers can enjoy snorkeling safely.
Plans & Pricing
2-hour or 3-hour — which do you recommend?
For families and couples, we strongly recommend the 3-hour plan. The 2-hour plan only allows a brief island stop, while the 3-hour plan gives plenty of time for both snorkeling and SUP.
Will we definitely go to Tsuken Island?
The Tsuken Island area is the main focus of the 6-hour plan. The 4-hour plan may include it depending on the day's sea conditions and requests. Safety always comes first.See the 6-Hour Plan →
When is the best season?
From late June — right after the rainy season — through summer is the sweet spot for both sea conditions and visibility. Many repeat guests come back at this time every year. We run tours year-round, so feel free to ask about availability.
Is there a cancellation fee?
7–3 days before: 50%. 2 days before to same day: 100%. Cancellations due to bad weather (operator decision) are free.
On the Day
What should I bring?
A towel, a change of clothes, a drink, and sunscreen (towels can also be lent). Please arrive already wearing your swimsuit. We provide all gear (life jacket, snorkel set, fins). There are no lockers, so please keep valuables in your car.
Where do we meet?
Cafe raise244. in Hamahiga Island, Uruma City. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure in your swimsuit. Parking for ~15 cars.
Is the meeting point the same as the port?
No. After meeting at the cafe you drive your own car to the port, with our staff car leading the way, so you will not get lost. The tour ends at the port.
Can I take a shower after the tour?
Yes, but the shower and changing room are at Cafe raise244., the meeting point — the port only has a public toilet. Since the tour ends at the port, please drive back to the cafe if you would like to shower. We recommend bringing your own towel, and we can lend you one if needed.
How many people can join?
Snorkeling: up to 12. Intro/fun diving: up to 3.
Can I book on the same day?
Yes, if there's availability. We've even had guests depart just hours after booking. Call us at 098-927-4405.
Do tours run in the rain?
Rain alone does not cancel the tour. We review conditions when waves exceed 1.5m or winds exceed 10m/s. Wave warnings = cancelled (no fee).
Photography
Will you take photos and videos?
On all snorkel and diving plans, we capture footage with GoPro and Insta360 — all provided free of charge.
